The MF DNA is Mick Fanning’s proven high-performance shortboard for quality waves. Built for control, flow, and precision, it’s the board Mick relied on during his competitive career at events like Bells, Snapper and France. It excels in bigger, punchier surf, but in the right hands it can still come alive in smaller conditions.
Over the last two and half years, we've made some subtle but important refinements to the DNA:
- Concave Adjustments: Slightly flattened under the front foot to help the board plane earlier and increased concave through the fins.
- Foam Distribution: Slight shift in foam under the front foot to enhance paddle power without bulking up the rails.
- Rail foil: Mid to low rail, slightly refined to increase hold.
- Deck profile: Flattened slightly between the feet to improve stability when pushing at high speed, especially on open faces.
